Jody is a trauma-informed and neurodiversity-affirming professional consistently learning and striving to support others through empathy and understanding. Jody takes a research-based holistic approach to enhancing quality of life through good practice. 


Her extensive background includes:

  • education - primary, secondary,
  • education support and international settings
  • experience in metropolitan, rural, remote and Aboriginal communities
  • studies in Psychology
  • emergency services volunteer work


As a parent of neurodivergent children, Jody understands the importance of advocacy.


Jody can help by:

  • working together with individuals and their support networks
  • getting to know individuals and what they like and don't like
  • looking at why any unsafe behaviours may occur
  • always considering health, pain and communication 
  • making plans (PBSP, interim / Comprehensive BSP) using plain language or easy read to support individuals
  • looking at ways to reduce and remove restrictive practices
  • training people to do what is in the plans
  • reviewing plans
  • building relationships to help people with what they want in their lives.
