- experience in metropolitan, rural, remote and Aboriginal communities
- studies in Psychology
- emergency services volunteer work
As a parent of neurodivergent children, Jody understands the importance of advocacy.

- working together with individuals and their support networks
- getting to know individuals and what they like and don't like
- looking at why any unsafe behaviours may occur
- always considering health, pain and communication
- making plans (PBSP, interim / Comprehensive BSP) using plain language or easy read to support individuals
- looking at ways to reduce and remove restrictive practices
- training people to do what is in the plans
- reviewing plans
- building relationships to help people with what they want in their lives.
